I think I have a virus of something in my computer. what CD should I buy to remove the virus.?

You don't need to buy anything.  You can get great virus protection and cleaning for free.

I use Avast Anti-virus.  It's terrific and you get free updates for a year, then you just need to re-register to get another year and so on.

Go to:

Then go down to the long list of downloads and click on the top one.  It's the free English version.

If you don't have any idea what you're doing, get someone to help you the first time around.  You will need to register within a month.

After its installed, it will check your computer for any known virus and you can delete it or quarantine it (separate it from everything else so it can do no damage).

That's it!  You can save your computer for further damage.

You can download good virus programs off the internet, so you don't always need a CD, although you can buy one if you like. If you'd prefer that, then I suggest going to a computer shop and asking someone who works there.

Otherwise, I use CA protection software, and that works well. As well as Ad-Aware. That's pretty good.

save money

use system revovery

when you start ur computer and get to the windows splash screen, try pretting f10 or one of the f#'s

don't go to the bios that won't help

or install a freeware anti virus software like norton or somethin

or just download a torrent of a keygen of a trusted antivirus software that requires a cdkey

Try AVG Anti-virus free edition.

What exactly do you mean by CD, if you have a recovery CD already then use it.

Don't need to buy a cd just go to this www.avg.com it is a free anti-virus program and it will remove all of the viruses.

You don't need any CD. You can get AVG for free at: http://www.download.com/AVG-Anti-Virus/3...

Install that and run a scan and it will most likely catch the virus.
