I think there are roaches in my bathroom. when i wake up early to shower, i noticed these pests. i never knew what a cockroach was so i just thought they were some kind of bettle. i live in the woods so bugs are common.

I live in an apartment complex, so im assuming the people upstairs may have this problem. should i contact my leasing manager and have her deal with the problem, or is this something we are going to have to pay for?

  1. We moved into a house where I found a cockroach right off the bat.  It creeped me out.  I remembered reading abt. using Boric Acid Powder.  I sprinkled it around like behind the frig., stove.  Then I used some very small lids from medicine bottles, and placed them around in inconspicious places.  It really did the trick.  I never saw anymore.  But if you have small children or pets be extremely careful so that they cannot get around it, and be sure to read the back of the bottle.  Another thing to do is make sure there aren't any holes under your sinks.  But I agree w/the other folks too, that your landlord should know in order to get this under control.  Good luck!

  2. um yes! contact your manager and tell them you would like to be rid of bugs!

    roaches are not a joke!

bugs aren't either but more so Roaches!

  3. Definitely contact the apartment manager. Depending on where you live, most apartments are required to spray for bugs once a month--exterior and interior. The manager may also need to speak to your neighbors about cleanliness. It helps everyone for you to say something ASAP.

  4. You absolutely shouldn't have to pay for this---it should be an included service each month. You want to do this quickly b/c these guys multiply fast and you'll be infested in no time. Also, it's probably more from the ppl below than above as they tend to travel upwards.

You can also solve this, after the extermination.  Look around your bathroom sink, incl. where the floors & walls meet and make sure they're caulked & sealed. That will prevent any from getting back in. Roaches tend to gather in damp, dark places, usually where there's a water source.  Actually you might want to make sure you are caulked at ALL your baseboards, down by the floor.

    Good luck!!
