Okay here is the deal... my eye is completely watery and when I wake up is basically sealed shut in a caking of crust that is normally a associated with pink eye... it is in both of my eyes, but it is just odd to me that my eyes aren't pink...

Is this for sure pink eye?

  1. Silly Lil Atheist - if you your wake up with your eyes sealed shut in a caking of crust then something is irritating them.  I often have that problem.  If your eyes are producing too much eye mucus, then they are either infected or irritated.

Instead of using pink eye medicine or eye allergy drops,  just buy some Eye Wash at your local drug store.   The pink eye medicine and eye allergy drops are much more expensive than eye wash and you only get 0.5 ounces in a bottle.  Eye wash comes in 4 ounce or 8 ounce bottles.  I keep a bottle of eye wash at home, one in my desk at work and one in my purse. At home,  I rinse my eyes in the morning and at night.  During the day I put in a few drops whenever my eyes feel irritated.  Eye wash is much more effective in dealing with pink eye or eye allergies.

    Good luck

  2. Do you have allergies?  I get the same thing during allergy season. My eyes really don't turn red unless I rub them a lot.  Try taking allergy medicine and/or use eye drops specifically for allergies to see if they help.

If you don't have allergies you can still have pink eye without the pink.  See your ophthalmologist if it doesn't improve.

  3. It's totally possible to have an eye infection that is not conjunctivitis (aka pink eye). I had a very bad eye infection this past summer and was given the same drops that are used to clear up pink eye. Hope you feel better!

  4. Go to the docs mate. Simple fix.

  7. I really don't know what to tell you on that one. See a doctor.
