I say this because something very odd is happening.

I have not been fiddling with settings, but let me give you an example.

When I click on something, just once, it has a tendency to act as if

I have double clicked it! Windows also have a tendency to open on their own.. What do I do?

  1. Invest in Norton Protection Center from Symantec's Official website. It comes with a spyware filter, inbound firewall and many useful features such as anti-phishing software. I've been using Norton for over two years and never had any issues with virus/spyware/adware.

Yes, it does slow down your PC considerably. Try to invest in at least 1.0 GB RAM to offset that problem.

  2. Download Windows Defender from Microsoft.  Its Microsoft so you know it solid and you can trust it.  Then update it and run it.

  3. Try downloading Avast! Antivirus and stuff and Antispyware from the internet, just google search them and download them.

    Try this site:

    http://spywareremover.com/index.php?hop=...

    if u have Vista

    http://www.cyber-defender.com/EDC/landin...

if u have windows xp then that one

    pretty long eh?

    http://www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/?r...

that one for Vista, XP and 2000

  4. Scan with anti-spyware. No single anti-spyware application is perfect so I recommend using at least 2 different programs. Spybot Search & Destroy is one of the best. I also recommend SUPERAntiSpyware. Other free anti-spyware programs would be Adaware, AVG Anti-spyware (formally Ewido), A-squared, Spyware Terminator and SpywareBlaster.

I strongly recommend using FireFox, it's a far better and safer alternative to Internet Explorer. If you add-on McAfee SiteAdvisor, it will warn you of potentially harmful sites. I also recommend CCleaner which is a free system optimization and privacy tool.

  5. eventually when you get more of these pesky spyware and trojans, just give up and reinstall your OS.
