I think I have tonsillitis?

My sister has tonsillitis right now. I had it about 3 years ago. Last night (before I found out she had it) I felt kind of sick. My sister isn't home very much but I spent half the day with her yesterday. My head hurts now. Now its kind of hard to swallow and when I open my mouth it feels like something covering my throat. Then when I open my mouth there's strings of stuff in it (gross I know) and I might be paranoid but it looks swollen. Should I go to the doctor too since I've had it before.. Last time I missed a week of school and I really can't afford to miss ANY school.. I might just be being paranoid.

Duh!!! GO TO THE DOCTORS! This must be SERIOUS! does your mom even know??!!!!

Of course go to the MD, you don't necessarily have to miss 1 week of school. If it is tonsillitis they can put you on antibiotics and you can stay in school, maybe miss 1-2 days tops. But if you dont see an MD it may worsen and you will be really sick, just go.
