I think I killed the kitten I was taking care of did I?

Question

It was 3 weeks I think I had it for about week no kitten formula available . Had a bad intestinal infection and diahrea as i found out from the vet. Fed it organic cows milk, water added canned kitten food, changed beddind alot washed it but and stimulated bowels

you cant feed a 3 week old canned cat food. they cant chew and they dont understand eating anyway. they have to be bottle fed.

cows milk is bad. organic means nothing. unless it was produced in a laboratory, all milk is organic.

next time, bring kitten to a vet first and learn how to care for it.

i know you were only trying to help it.

Well I guess is it dead, I mean I cant really tell you that you kinda need to go see what the cat is doing and if its dead tell the people your watching it for. Thats all I can really tell you. Hope that helped!

no u didnt kill the kitten, u did everything u could u took it to the vet u cleaned after it and all that sort of stuff. if you were taking care of it for people then its obviously their fault for not getting it worming tablets and all them gizmos.

I don't think you tried to kill this kitten, but never give a cat or kitten cows milk. It causes severe gastrointestinal upset and makes them very sick. They aren't able to absorb any nutrients from it because of the problems it causes.

If you ever get a kitten this young again, please see the vet to ask what you can feed it. Usually goats milk can be used when you are unable to find KMR or Just Born.

I'm sorry this happened, but now you know what NOT to do in the future.
