I think I like her, but she might have a boyfriend. Help?

Question

So I have this friend who I think I may like as more than a friend, and I'm wondering (more like hoping) that she feels the same way. We sat at the same lunch table for about half of the school year, and she used to tease me quite a bit. Wether she meant what she said or not, I have no idea, but some of the things she did hurt me a little nonetheless. One weekend she texted me when I was in a not-so-good mood, so I kind of insulted her intelligence. But once we started talking, I realized she was actually a very deep and smart person. From that day on, she never really teased me again. Since then, we've become great friends. We talk about stuff all the time. We share many of the same interests. The only reason I haven't asked her out yet is because I think she has a boyfriend. I know she did a few weeks ago, but I don't know if she still does. What do I do if she's still seeing someone? If she isn't, how should I make my move? The reason I'm hoping she likes me is because usually I text her, but lately she's been texting me more than usual. Also, she says stuff like, "Thanks for asking!" when all I asked was what movie she was going to go see...

ask her how her and her boyfriend are doing try doing something physical...nothing perverted though play with her hair, tickel her something like that...see how she responds

ask her causally or do some research yourself. maybe your friends might know from someone else who she is or isnt dating. if she does have a boyfriend, its pretty obvious not to get into it. but if not ;) have fun

if she likes you she does like you and has a boyfriend she will break up with that guy and go out with you.
