Is this abnormal for a young person? (If you don't know what varicocele is, then please don't answer).

  1. It can happen to any one, at any age, if you are standing all the time or even sitting down all the time see a doctor to get it examined, they are harmless in most cases, but have doctor look at it. Repair is a cosmetic one to change the ugly looks of this situation.

For the benefit of "Pink M" they look like swollen blood vessels, start out behind the knee but can appear any where on the legs, thighs, calf,--,--. They make the leg bumpy.

  2. I wouldn't want to second guess something like that.. neither should you.. see your Dr. and have it checked out, it may be harmless but why not find peace of mind and get a definitive answer,

  3. Typically the onset of varicoceles is at the time of puberty. The earlier they are corrected the less likely the affect on fertility and testicular athrophy later in life is. You need to see a male infertility urologist to make sure you really do have one. If you do they will more then likely suggest having it correct young.

Varicocles are progressive and the affect on ferility is as well. Eventually you can become infertile years down the road if not fixed.
