I just got hired at this fragrance company a few days ago.

they talk about how big this company is but I can't find out anything about it online and I can't find the phone number info out like you could if it wasn't unlisted.

well when I was interviewing for the job they mentioned we would be making between 200-500 a week. well now they're telling us we only make money on commission, well we are suppose to be in training to be Managers at an office, but they was at first telling us we would be making money from them now they're telling us we are individual distributer's so I believe this may be a scam is there some place I can contact to find out? and another thing is they seem to be mostly interested in hiring young adults like the age 18-24. thanks for reading

  1. It might not be a total scam, but it sounds as a multilevel sales company.  "Individual distributors" means salespeople, and eventually you will be asked to bring more people to sell their products, so you can earn more comissions.

I think you better get out of there. Fast.

(And don't listen to some other posts above, they are multilevels too)

  2. probz if you cant find them online or in the phone book

  3. Keep looking. If you can't find them online, forget it. Everybody,s on the net, I'm on, my stepson's on. People with phony names are on. Sounds like MLM. Or a Ponzi scheme.

  4. Or this could be one of those pyramid jobs.  Call BBB(better business bureau)  see if they are a legit company.  If not report them..

  5. It's one of those legitimate "scam" companies that has so many technicalities that make it legal to work there and keep the college aged employed.  You know, like the telemarketing centers that have kids sell you bumper stickers in the name of veterans who don't ever see that money, but it's okay coz there IS a small group of veterans who benefit from a swwwwweet break room.
