I think I pulled my IT Band and I am going to hold off on running for a couple of days.?

Should I ice it or heat it or both??

  1. RICE is a good start, but you should go see a physical therapist or athletic trainer.  I had problems with ITBS and it kept reoccurring until I went to the trainer to get therapy to let it heal properly.  Also when you are back to normal (or near normal) do the "Walt Reynolds IT Band Special".  It works!  (Look it up on google the first result should have picture directions and everything!)


  2. Try ice, not heat.

    Gentle stretching might help.

    Massage is good.
