Question:

I think I sucked up a piece of rope in my Seadoo intake. How do I get it out?

The engine bogs down when trying to accelerate. This happened once before but I want to try and fix without taking to a dealer if possible. Help!

  1. take the intake grate off and manually pull the rope out

    it can be a long process but hopefully it hasn't gotten too far in to other components to mess other things up


  2. my ols sea-doo grate didnt come off without taking it in to a repair location. We just found a person with a tiny hand and reached up and grabbed the fishing line... happened to be wrapped around a piece of wood. we poked the wood with a knife and pulled it out that way. hopefully the newer models are easier to get into that area.
