  1. I do find the term "cravings" for meat a rather funny oxymoron....

much the same as that of an alcoholic in reasoning and logic...both are bad for you and both are not needed...

have a peanut butter sandwich on whole wheat...the best steak you could ever have....

  2. Omg, I was the same way.

    Youve gotta try Boca burgers.

I swear, I thought they were actual burgers cause they taste almost the same!

They should be at your local supermarkets freezer section.

I know they definently helped stop my cravingss!

    Good Luck :]

  3. I converted in February of this year, and haven't had any slip ups. I watched the gruesome movies, which definitely gave me a different take on meat, almost always it grosses me out. To satisfy cravings I usually eat some 100% whole grain/wheat carbs or have a meat substitute, morningstar "crumbles" (they are like ground beef, and they're not tofu, which I hate tofu!) . The hotdogs aren't bad, but I have a hard time eating them for some reason, but they do taste pretty good. Gardenburger makes vegetarian BBQ ribs which are delicious too.

    Hope this helps!

  4. ive been a vegetarian for 2 years i am trying to get back into meat eating again because im not healthy at all and i no its my fault but right now im 16 and cat get all the vitamins and nutrients i need by myself try some morning star veggie dogs there good

  5. I think beans are a nice, "meaty" kind of food that will fill you up and satisfy you the way meats can. Also, don't forget about nuts; they have a richness that is really rewarding to the palate. Good luck, I could never do it.

  6. Meat has good essential vitamins and nutrients to throw them out of your diet probably not the way to go either.. All food is good in moderation. Stay away from like hot dogs( or get the lean beef hotdogs) and use really lean meat for burgers. Having one burger every week is not going to ruin your diet plan and should help satisfy your desire for meat. Also have many extra courses with your meat so your not just eating meat like fruit salad, a salad maybe some rice or potatoes etc.. hope this helps

  7. Only because you asked. Meat is so delicious And it's not unhealthy. I don't think it's fair to your body to deny it of something that you like. With any other diet-they tell you if you feel like eating chocolate or cake or whatever,do it in moderation. Choose lean cuts. Don't eat it as often.  I have respect for vegetarians and their reasons. But I have t question persons that are fighting off the desire to eat something they like to eat.

And I don't appreciate my opinion being disrespected by people that i have stated my respect for.

  8. ive been vegetarian for nearly 3 years. i had cravings for a few weeks until i realised theres meat-free alternatives for everything. i dont know where you're from but in the uk we have a product called quorn which comes in all sorts of flavours and styles.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/

that website gives you some good ideas :)

after a while you'll get used to not eating meat and you'll realise how disgusting it smells when its cooking.

if you need any other help email me :)

  9. That's often what I'm asked "Don't you miss meat' "Don't you crave meat" ETC But I really don't. You miss meat for the first week, two week top's but then that's it. I also eat al lot of meat substitutes such as Quorn. This isn't just tasty but is also really good for you. Although it doesn't sound like it Quorn burger's are really tasty, the people that made Quorn burger's put more effort into them. Quorn burger's have more herb's and spice's in them then normally meat thing's.

  10. If you are still going to eat seafood, you wouldn't be a vegetarian.  Vegetarians don't eat dead animals.  The definition of vegetarian has been the same for hundreds of years and will never change to include fish.  As far as cravings, go out and get Boca burgers, morningstar farms veggie dogs etc.

  11. Well you could eat meat substitutes =]

  12. www.meat.org<===Crave that...

There are alternatives like smart dogs and veggie burgers.

BTW you will not be a vegetarian if you eat fish.  Visit www.fishinghurts.com to find out why fishing and fish farms are bad for our environment, bad for our health and inhumane.
