watch trigun, samurai x (u can watch the rurouni kenshin series, if u want, but samurai x the movie is the best!). Then there is also gundum wing, there are a lot of them, but i really liked the Mobile Suit Gundam Wing series, its like what ur looking for, anime with people like figures (ie: deathnote)...and the story is nice, if u understand it. obviously u need to watch samurai champloo. it doesn't have ovrly exaggerated figures, but its really nice drawing as well as storyline and action. also watch cowboy bebop, its storyline is sometimes good and sometimes bad, but the fight scenes are fun too watch, really nice...

btw, u might have seen some of the ones ive listed here, but the thing, i wasnt gonna read all that stuff, i know u got high standards and are looking really good anime, but seriously...thats tooooooooo much to right...no anime is perfect.
