  1. OH yes, now this choice makes the race very interesting.  Love to listen to her speak.

  2. I just learned that she takes pleasure in wolf hunting from a helicopter. They chase the wolves until they get tired, and then they shoot them.

    How ****ed up is that?!

That's what I'm angry about right now.

    I believe in animal rights.

She wants to talk about how wrong abortion is, but ripping a fetus apart and extracting it from the womb is murder just like chasing down an animal in it's own natural habitat, until it's so tired that it's defenseless..and then killing it in cold blood.  I'm disgusted.

Before, I was simply unhappy because I feel she doesn't have nearly enough experience to become president of the country if anything were to happen to McCaine.

Needless to say, I will not be voting for McCaine.

I have other reasons, but his choosing of Palin as vice president really made my decision for me. I guess he felt that choosing a  woman was just the edge he needed to win the election, but we ladies are not stupid. We know a dud when we see one. I'm not voting for a woman just for the sake of gender- she has to have the right qualifications for the job, and leading the country is a huge job.

  3. I listened to parts of Palin's speech and I liked and admired her as an American woman.  She sounds tough as nails.  The fact remains that she is thoroughly Republican and I will not be voting for anyone from that political party.  My vote goes to the Democrat in the Presidential race.

  4. I don't think so.  If McCain dies during his presidency (a real concern) do you think Palin can look guys like Putin in the eye seriously?  Hillary could have because she's a cold hearted ***** but Palin?

Poor choice.  Good for votes bad for the country.  What happened to the Republicans?  I used to like them but now I vote for no party.  I have a bad feeling about where the USA is going guys, a bad feeling.

  5. Palin rocks. Obama is history. End of story.

  6. Sure, but I still won't vote for him.  I am not rich and need a job to pay for the food on my plate.  He is just another rich little boy who lived on a plantation.  We need a down earth Prez.

  7. I think you must be kidding.

  8. Oh, he did indeed!  Her speech was magnificent tonight - and she sure isn't afraid to speak the truth and tell it like it is!  She was on fire tonight - GO McCain/Palin!!

Edit: Ash:  You must have learned that line from Obama, degrading and undermining 'small town' folks, huh?

Edit2:  No Name:  Sorry to break it to you, but Wikipedia.com is NOT a reliable source for information.  The links below are:

  9. UH no vote obama

i hope your happy when the united states coughs up all its money in the war.  im moving if mccain wins

  10. Having heard her, I truly agree! I think she is an honest lady and incredibly strong and directed!

  11. Yeah shes pretty hot for a governor.

  12. sarah palin is a excellent choice.

  13. She's too conservative.  She may be a great speaker and a terrific hockey mom, but her views on abortion, stem cell research, which she opposes,  the environment and her gun toting don't sit well with me.  Anyone who would support Pat Buchanan is not someone I would vote for.  She may be a terrific mayor and governor, but the other aspects worry me.  I was about to consider voting for McCain, now I am not so sure. She did give a good speech though.

  14. I think he made what he thought would be the only strategic move he could make at the time. Believe me when i say John McCain never thought twice about palin over the past several months. There were committees and panels and groups and hoards of people scouring the earth for someone to pull 'ol Johnny boy out of the fire.

  15. Let's see: she has 5 kids, the youngest with Down's Syndrome, but she's going to abandon her family values (hockey Mom, staying home with her children) to travel around the country instead of taking care of the kids. She advocates abstinence as the only acceptable form of birth control, which obviously has not worked for her nor her daughter. Where are the Republican family values?

  16. I think that she will work well for his campaign.

  17. Yes, he picked a great Ginni pig. Will do and say whatever shes told.

    OBAMA 08!

"SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME!"

  18. Yes, he picked a good, make that great running mate.

  19. No, McCain't isn't even a good pick much less a woman who isn't a good mother.  Why have a sack of kids if you're not going to raise them yourself!!!  If she can't raise her kids properly she can't do much for this ruined country due to the republicans!!!

  20. I know that Palin was the best choice for VP.  It has happened before with Bush SR. and Nixon, by picking someone completely out of the blue they won the election, but neither one of those VPs could defend themselves like Palin.  I think it was a great choice.

  21. h**l yeah!  Nothin' better than a woman who isn't afraid of other women & won't allow men to dictate to her.  She's a Repuiblican, all right!  Added to that she's the original version of what the womens's movement was all about.  A woman's right to choose & she chose to have it all.  She's a great role model for what a family is all about...UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!

She'll do a good job because she's motivated by her PASSION to help the people.  That's far more than any other candidate I can ever remember over my lifetime of elections.

She makes me proud by her show of strength.  She is what "Sisterhood" is all about!

I can't understand why so many people are bashing her.  Probably because they KNOW they won't be able to continue to defraud the federal government once she's elected into office!

  22. > Yesterday was John McCain's 72nd birthday. If elected, he'd be the oldest

president ever inaugurated. And after months of slamming Barack Obama for

"inexperience," here's who John McCain has chosen to be one heartbeat away from

the presidency: a right-wing religious conservative with no foreign policy

experience, who until recently was mayor of a town of 9,000 people.

    >

    > Huh?

    >

    > Who is Sarah Palin? Here's some basic background:

    >

    >  *   She was elected Alaska's governor a little over a year and a half ago.

Her previous office was mayor of Wasilla, a small town outside Anchorage. She

    has no foreign policy experience.1

    >  *   Palin is strongly anti-choice, opposing abortion even in the case of rape

    or incest.2

    >  *   She supported right-wing extremist Pat Buchanan for president in 2000. 3

    >  *   Palin thinks creationism should be taught in public schools.4

    >  *   She's doesn't think humans are the cause of climate change.5

    >  *   She's solidly in line with John McCain's "Big Oil first" energy policy.

She's pushed hard for more oil drilling and says renewables won't be ready for

years. She also sued the Bush administration for listing polar bears as an

endangered species—she was worried it would interfere with more oil drilling in

    Alaska.6

    >  *   How closely did John McCain vet this choice? He met Sarah Palin once at a

meeting. They spoke a second time, last Sunday, when he called her about being

vice-president. Then he offered her the position.7

    > We also asked Alaska MoveOn members what the rest of us should know about

their governor. The response was striking. Here's a sample:

    >

    > She is really just a mayor from a small town outside Anchorage who has been a

governor for only 1.5 years, and has ZERO national and international experience.

I shudder to think that she could be the person taking that 3AM call on the

White House hotline, and the one who could potentially be charged with leading

the US in the volatile international scene that exists today. —Rose M.,

    Fairbanks, AK

    >

    > She is VERY, VERY conservative, and far from perfect. She's a hunter and

fisherwoman, but votes against the environment again and again. She ran on

ethics reform, but is currently under investigation for several charges

involving hiring and firing of state officials. She has NO experience beyond

Alaska. —Christine B., Denali Park, AK

    >

    > As an Alaskan and a feminist, I am beyond words at this announcement. Palin is

not a feminist, and she is not the reformer she claims to be. —Karen L.,

    Anchorage, AK

    >

    > Alaskans, collectively, are just as stunned as the rest of the nation. She is

doing well running our State, but is totally inexperienced on the national

level, and very much unequipped to run the nation, if it came to that. She is as

far right as one can get, which has already been communicated on the news. In

our office of thirty employees (dems, republicans, and nonpartisans), not one

person feels she is ready for the V.P. position.—Sherry C., Anchorage, AK

    >

    > She's vehemently anti-choice and doesn't care about protecting our natural

resources, even though she has worked as a fisherman. McCain chose her to pick

up the Hillary voters, but Palin is no Hillary. —Marina L., Juneau, AK

    >

    > I think she's far too inexperienced to be in this position. I'm all for a

woman in the White House, but not one who hasn't done anything to deserve it.

There are far many other women who have worked their way up and have much more

experience that would have been better choices. This is a patronizing decision

on John McCain's part- and insulting to females everywhere that he would assume

he'll get our vote by putting "A Woman" in that position.—Jennifer M.,

    Anchorage, AK

    >

    > So Governor Palin is a staunch anti-choice religious conservative. She's a

global warming denier who shares John McCain's commitment to Big Oil. And she's

    dramatically inexperienced.

    >

    > In picking Sarah Palin, John McCain has made the religious right very happy.

And he's made a very dangerous decision for our country.

    >

    > In the next few days, many Americans will be wondering what McCain's

vice-presidential choice means. Please pass this information along to your

    friends and family.

  23. i asked a Q about Palin in Elections and someone got it deleted. I'm scared of Palin supporters now. ( shudder),

I don't even know her I'm an Aussie seeking to understand US politics. Obviously you view your politics very passionately

  24. Shes a down to earth person who understands what the real middle class needs and she's strong enough to stand up for what she believes in. A lot of people are worried only about taxing the rich to feed the poor. In reality that doesn't work so well. Those with money are creating jobs, funding research and make donations to all the charities that are helping the poor. There is a happy medium from the old school republicans and the liberal democrats. McCain and Palin are that independent choice.

  25. After that speech, I'm almost ready to nominate HER for President.

  26. MOST DEFINATELY NOT!!!!.... I am all for putting a woman in therr but this woman is not the one.... you people can be fooled by what the Rep. party puts out there....tonight at the convention people were falling asleep and the crowd sounded forced....

is this the person you want running the country if something happens to McCain.... lets face it the man looks like he's about to croak any day.... before I knew who he was I thought he had cancer....

they are just using her for votes and not for the good of the people and this counrty...I'm not even going to touch on Gulliani..

  27. I have 2 college degrees, so I am not uneducated.  I believe that when you cut through the bS of the liberal media bias, you can clearly see that Palin was a great choice for McCain to make!

    McCain-Palin O8'

  28. He did pick a decent running mate my good man.  She is determined to get things done, the experience is there, she has a 90% approval rating in Alaska, 20% of America's oil came to Alaska, so she must be doing something good.  She helped get rid of a lot of corrupt politicians in Washington.  She used to be head of the National Guard.  I'd say she is good enough for a VP.

  29. there are two n's in running. Unless you meant ruining mate. Go change your depends

  30. I think he picked a terrific running mate.  Her family is living proof of the idiocy of abstinence-only s*x education, and she sucked the wind out of the GOP's inexperience argument.

But then, I'm voting for the other guy, so you probably don't want to hear from me.

  31. Definately.
