I think UPS stole my phone!!?

I ordered the T-mobile Wing on-line from t-mobile. I was delivered to me last night by UPS. When I opened the package the phone was no there. Someone stole it. The box had everything inside but the phone and the sim card. The UPS package was sealed with clear tape. I was told it was tampered with, and T-mobile said they would replace it. Has this ever happened to anyone? T-mobile said they would investigate. Should I contact UPS as well?

  1. While it's very unlikely that someone from UPS stole your phone it's still probably best to contact them if for no reason other than to make sure this isn't the only case they've had of items disappearing lately in your area either because of a UPS employee or someone snatching packages off of doorsteps and re-sealing them.  It's possible that no phone was ever packed in the box through some sort of packing mistake on HTC (the maker of that model of phone) or T-Mobile's end, it does happen!

  2. No, it never happend to me & yes I would let UPS know about it

do you still have the tracking # ? Perhaps they can find out who handled it .

I did however have UPS deliver a video camera to the neighbors because the dopes @ Radio Shack did not write the house # clearly

& I could NOT prove that the neighbors took the package , so they got it for free

I had to order another one & go & pick it up myself, I learned my lesson

    good luck :>)
