Usian Bolt is different than all those other track athletes that didn't make it in NFL. And what about Bob Hayes the world class speedster. Hear me out! Usian is taller, like a Randy Moss, so he doesn't need to evade the corners, just pick ball out of air above them.

Also Usian has the arrogant kind of attitude that would serve him well in NFL, I don't like people make generalizations that he can't make it in NFL? How are you so sure when several speedsters have suceeded in NFL

  1. He could be a WR or a DB, assuming he can catch...He would have to bulk up to play anything else...but who really cares?

  2. He gets hit once and he is out...I am not sayin  that he is a p***y I am just sayin that he aint that tough...he will get knocked on his azz and he will be done in one or two games.

  3. just because your fast dont mean you can succeed in  the NFL

  4. Probably not. He may or may not be able to develop the skills to be a good gridiron player, but what would the motivation be? He has a much better chance of remaining a dominant sprinter than becoming a good NFL player. The same argument could be used that he would be a good outfielder in baseball, forward in soccer, or on a bobsled team. Why would he risk getting injured or being washed out of a sport if he can keep making money at what he's already great at? And he did not become a great sprinter by only being born fast and showing up at the Olympic trials. He has had to work at that, too.

The question really insults Bolt's ability and career as a sprinter and also every player in the NFL who has put in work to reach the top of their profession.

  5. no 1 reason he's jamaican mon

football is american sport dominated by americans he's probably a p***y most track stars are and he's to tall he's like 6'6 but he is flippin fast

  6. I'm not saying he CAN'T make it in the NFL...but I'll say the odds are WAYYYY against him.  You're right, he's got the size and beyond the speed to play receiver in the NFL...but it takes alot more skills than that to be on the elite level...and every receiver that makes it in the NFL is elite.  You DO have to run correct routes and definitely have to be able to catch.  Has anybody ever seen him catch a football?  I know I haven't seen any videos of it.  Also, the pads will slow him down.  Whoever said he runs a 3.5 in the 40 is crazy.  He doesn't run that fast...sorry, that's not possible for a human to run that fast.  Just to compare what you're saying when you say that...you're saying the difference between DeAngelo Hall's speed and Peyton Manning's speed is the same as the difference between Hall and Bolt.  There's no way he smokes Hall by as much of a margin as Hall smokes Manning.  Yes, Bolt would kill him in a race...but not by that type of margin.  Anyways...this is long enough.  I don't think anything will even come of the Bolt thing...but even if he tried out...he wouldn't be on an NFL roster in 3 years in my opinion.

  7. Yes, He's 6"5 and runs a 40yd dash in 3.5 Seconds. All he has to do is learn to catch the ball. He doesn't even have to be a good route runner because he can just run Streak Routes and the QB will just bomb the ball 40yds down the field and no one in the league can cover Usain Bolt because he's too d**n fast. He can also be used as a KR/PR, and I bet he can make 5 times more money in the NFL than he is Running track. He'll get so much sponsers in America than he'll ever get in Jamaica.

edit: "just because your fast dont mean you can succeed in the NFL." -Are you kidding me, this guy is beyond fast. We're not talking 4.2 speed, we're talking 3.5 speed!

  8. He doesn't really look like he's strong enough to be a football player.  You never know though.

  9. i honestly think that he would be a really good db. if you put him at a safety spot and just had him sit back in pass coverage he could intercept a lot of balls. he would be a good wideout too. i think that defenses would be focused on his speed and have to send extra men to cover him, which would give other recievers a lot of opportunity, so i think he'd help a team out

  10. Anything is possible, he definitely has the athleticism to succeed on the football field, but football takes a lot more than that.  It takes a certain type of person to get tackled for a living and track guys usually aren't that type. Also Usain Bolt would be running in grass, with heavy cleats and pads on. Plus corners don't need to race him, they can line up 10-15 yards off him and be in position to make a play on a ball thrown his way. I don't see it happening.

Plus why would he even want to play football? He just won three gold medals in the olympics and he just turned 22, he wouldn't risk future track glory just so he could play a sport that's not even popular in his country.

  11. Physically, at about 6'5'' and 200 pounts with elite speed, Bolt is a lot like Randy Moss.  He has the body of a great wide reciever.  But track is a lot different than football.  In track, you don't get hit, memorize playbooks or wear 20 pounds of padding.  Does Bolt have any experience at all on any level playing organized football?  If not, he probably doesn't have the basic football skills to suceed in the NFL anytime soon.
