I'm a Maize and Blue fan, but I believe that Michigan will lose their season opener again. Michigan has lost a lot of their starters on offense from last year (Manningham, Arrington, Hart, Henne, and Long just to name a few). A lot of their new starters haven't played a snap in college yet. I don't think the defense can carry them alone. What do you think?

  1. I hope so Go Mountain West Conference!

  2. I think it's very possible. I think it will be a really close game in any case. I only have michigan winning 6, possibley 7 games all year (not including a bowl, which will probably be like, the motor city bowl or something comparable). Add to that the fact that Utah is supposed to be really good (for their conference), and I think a Michigan loss is a definite possibility...

As a PSU fan, I generally hate the wolverines with an un-dying passion, but I'll be rooting for them vs. Utah (and I got a huge kick out of last year's Capital One Bowl).

ps = the guy above me is not way smarter than anyone....

  3. yeah michigan should be happy if they win 5 games. If Utah loses that game that's an upset.

  4. Considering that Michigan is nothing more than a glorified FCS team that couldn't even beat App State last year I would conclude that Utah will beat them by 21.

  5. Absolutely!!! There is a reason that they are only a 3.5 point underdog on the road at Michigan. With the lack of QB experience in Rich's system, I would be surprised if Utah lost this one.

  6. OK everyone, LISTEN UP!!  New coach, new system, and a few new starters.  Bottom line, Michigan comes out of the gate winning by at least 7......maybe 10.  They have something to prove in Ann Arbor this season.  Last year was a fluke.  I am not a Michigan fan by any means.  But, as a handicapper, I will be all over this game.

  7. there's a very good possibility of that, utah is among the front runners to go undefeated this season along with BYU, fresno St. and Boise St. the latter 2 not so much because of their OOC schedule (boise @ oregon, and fresno @ rutgers, home vs wisconsin, and @ UCLA)
