Not practical for every day.  I am an American.  I don't own a big truck or SUV.  Both of my cars are compact cars.  I have one friend who owns a big truck, he is a contractor and needs it for work.

I ride my bike whenever it is practical.  However, you can't carry packages or groceries on them.  Where I live, we have harsh winters.  We average 300 inches of snow per year.  The daytime high is well below freezing from mid November to mid March.  It is unsafe to ride a bike during this time because of the icy snow covered roads.

For you Europeans who whine about their even higher prices.  Look towards yourselves for this.  You pay the same for a barrel of oil as we do.  However, you have big government that demands outrageous taxes from you.  You want the government to give free hand outs like free health care.  Well, figure it out, nothing coming from the government is ever free, someones got to pay.

I agree with you but American's are greedy and wasteful people. They like big trucks even when driving by themselves. They'll learn like the European do. Size doesn't matter it's distance and time that matters.

That's a great idea!! Can you tell me again!  You have just solved the problem of our nations dependance on oil!!  Someone give them a golden globe or something!

Of course you must realize that most people work 20-40 miles from where they live so they can actually afford their mortgage.  Therefore your idea is the worst idea I have ever heard.  EVER!  The only way we can park our cars if we have a safe, reliable, cheap way to drive 50+ miles a day.

Until then, please keep quiet.  Shhh!
