so a few nights ago i heard my alarm clock going off. i have it on the other side of the room so that i get up and out of bed to turn it off. so i go turn it off, and it stops beeping (duh) and i started getting ready, eating breakfast blablabla and about 45 minutes later i realized it's only 12:07 am. i looked at my alarm clock and it was set for the regular time... so i just imagined my alarm clock going off. yeah... what the heck? and then last night i woke up to this crazy loud noise sounding similar to tinfoil being torn/crunched up/stepped on etc. and i just laid in bad with this LOUD noise going on and i just thought it was my cat stepping on tinfoil... (idk, i just woke up and was very out of it, don't ask) so i yelled stop! but it kept going so i sat up and yelled stop again then it stopped. it definitely was NOT my cat and i have no tinfoil in my room. so i was imagining it??

what the heck? is this just some wierd dream thing or what's going on??

  1. When in doubt, lobotomy it out.

  2. I have no idea!!

Maybe you should document what you remember/dream during the night.  Or, instead of ignoring a noise next time, get up and go see what the noise is.

  3. I think you were probably just dreaming. I woke up the whole house 2 nights ago screaming that my brother made me burn the pumpkin pie (12 midnight)

  4. It's possible to dream "sounds".

Also, you might have a form of tinnitus that sounds like crumpling paper, plastic, etc.   It can be set off by just the sounds of your sheet or blanket rustling, and then it continues on its own for a few seconds.
