well my school gymnastics team just started and for floor we use wrestling mats because we dont have enough money for an actual floor.

So anywho i was doing front tucks on the mats and i noticed afterwards my foot began to increasingly hurt. i went to the trainer and he says hes pretty sure its a stress fracture.

The team just started and i gotta make these practices if i wanna compete. should i stay off my foot though? I mean the pain is bareable to an extent. I wrap it with prewrap and tape while training but should i still train?

  1. The only answer to this question is an X-ray.  I'd get one if I were you and the school medical program should pay for it.

A stress fracture is still a fracture and needs medical care.  It will heal quickest if treated properly.  See your doc and find out if it's bone or tissue...there's a big difference and you can't tell from feeling it or looking at the skin.
