  1. there is no "test" for bipolar.. you need to go to your doctor or local mental health clinic/psychiatrist and explain your symptoms.. they will monitor you for a while they may even put you on medication.. but it will be a lengthy process to be diagnosed


  2. Sorry to hear that.  The first step is to see your Doctor and be totally truthful when discussing the issue.  They need to know how you feel and they cannot help unless you are straight with them.  Also, you may try this forum: www.depressionforums.org

  3. Ask your doctor for a reputable psychiatrist.  Don't have your regular doc test you - most regular docs don't know spit about mental illness.  Leave it to the specialists.

    You can also find a shrink in your insurance company's list of doctors (I'm assuming you're in the US), but it's much better to get a referral.  There are a lot of rotten shrinks out there, but there are great ones too that are worth their weight in gold!!
