i had bought bettas to try to breed them. i have the 2 males in a seprated tank. i have the females in the same tank. my male keeps blowing bubbles in 1 corner for a bubble nest. and today when i looked at my female, my blue female looked like she has vertical lines on her stumic. the male that blows bubbles can see both of the females so thats why he blows the bubbles. i havent seen my female put her face down like they do when they want to breed but i think i can see the lines on her sides.

should i try to breed them? OH ....and where do i get....i remembered i need to put something in the water after the spawning for the female to help her not get infections from spawning. where do i get that?

do i need to have almond leaves in the tank. i read that the males put the bubble nest under almond leaves.

HELP!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?...

  1. vertical line comes out when the fighter fish is scared/stressed because of the presence of other fish/thing that are stronger than them. For example if you put two male fighter and they fight, the loser will have the vertical line coming out and trying to escape while the winner will glow in colour.
