i drive through a dying city, i see new people of the city not working much during the day and i assume they collect something from the government, then i go back to my apartment and i see these same new people in the neighborhood not working during the day and getting free housing it seems, the area of ny i live in is pretty expensive and i'm paying 1400 in bills a month while some freeloader upstairs from my apartment stomps all over my roof collecting food stamps and free housing, is this justice in america.....me breaking my back at work to come home to this, a bunch of freeloaders stepping on my ceiling while i'm trying to sleep from a hard days work

  1. Yes unfortunatly there are many freeloaders in this country. Well if you think about it our forefathers didn't want to pay taxes so its kind of a cycle of sorts. Our forefathers had many many other issues and did work their butts off though.

The systems like welfare are not designed to help people to get back on their feet again. If you actually get a job then you loose your welfare benefits. This causes a lot of problems with single parents whos paycheck would be totally taken by childcare if they got some measly min. wage job.

I have spoken to many and know people who are on both sides of the fence in the poor house. One works their azz off trying to get a car, house and such. Her neighbors sit around smoking crack, listening to loud music all hours and they even recieve a free car from the government to get the crack. After all that free stuff from their govt. their children then steal mail from all others looking for checks so their parents can illegally cash them. So the children learn this behavior and the cycle continues to spiral downwards.

Now when the lady who works her azz off asked the welfare system if she could get a car to support a better job at a farther than walking distance the welfare officer told her that it would be better if she was not making any kind of income so it would look better on her application. She has more respect for herself rather than to loaf around for several months to get that car so she can start looking for a job. Of course she would not be able to afford the insurance for that car if she did not have a job either. So they cycle continues.

If the welfare system actually awarded people who took the initiave, we would all be better off. However, there are not enough jobs in america to support such a population of workers. I think the govt. knows this and it is sort of like paying them off so they will remain poor and unmotivated to actually do anything about it.

In a twisted sort of way it works so that the populace of poor unemployed people remain sustained and lazy so they wont get involved with politics.

I do hope something does change though.

  2. Yes my friend, you just described a Democrat!

  3. It's the price of honesty.

  4. You sound just like one of them complaining because you work and feel you should be on welfare.

  5. Maybe your upstairs neighbor owns an internet company or works from home, or works at night. Instead of assuming you should just ask them.
