I think i got a fake ipod nano little help please?

so ya im not sure whats going on but my mother is a truck driver and she bought this ipod nano from a guy at a truck stop that was selling new ones he said he got em whole sale and was sellnig them for 45$ i advised my mother not to buy it cause of the fact i thought it was a fake if he was selling it for 40 bucks so i get this ipod and i try to put like 1000 MB of music on it and says disc is out of space so i go into my computer and check it and says its a 100 mb disc? wtf is that about i mean 100 MB? thats some stupid c**p but anyways my question is this is it a fake or am i doing something wrong cause i was told there was a 100 MB extension disc in the nanos so if im doing something wrong tell me how i access the rest the guy said it was sopost to be a 8 gig nano and also does ipod nano havfe ipod logo on it or anything like when you start it up? cause when i start it up it has this green tree like background saying starting with this text that kinda floats up on the screen from the bottom so i would like to know if the ipod nano has any kind of ipod logo cause from what i have seen it doesnt have any ipod logo on it anyways any info on this would be help full thank you i hope its just im doing something wrong and it really is a 8 gig cause my mother doesnt like to how we say get ripped off as im sure you dont either anyways thanks

  1. first problem is that your mom is a truck driver so that might be a con towards the authentic part of the ipod and if the apple on the back is actually a orange and there is no screen and its made of cardboard, then there is a high chance that you got "ripped off" but thanks for buying it so we don't make that dumb mistake :)


  2. Dude, you've got a bootleg iPod. There is no "green background" or "floating" text when you start it up. It either starts up immediately(if it's just asleep) or display a black screen with a silhouette of the apple logo.(if it's completely off) Selling an 8gig nano for $45 "new" is an obvious giveaway anyway. REAL 8 gig nanos go for $200.
