also does anyone know, if i go to the doctor, what exactly do they DO? like do they actually look like inside that area or do u just have to take like a urine sample or something? im pretty sure its a yeast infection, i have chnky white discharge and the area smells ALOT, there are little bumps around the area but thats probably just from shaving, and it itched, not ALOT, but it does itch

  1. Hey Leah let me try to give some advice. First of all you shouldn't be ashamed to go to your mom(guardian) about this. Yeast Infections are totally normal and happen all the time with women. Let me say I have had several in my life time. You can buy certain creams,(Monistat, Vagisil, Etc.) as well as itch relief lotion. I love "AZO" its a yeast infection pill that does work(read the instructions), and allows you not to mess with messy creams. If you tell your mom she will know exactly what to do and what to get you. I remember when I first got one, I was pretty embarrassed(around your age). I went to my mother and she told me exactly how to handle it, and boy I was in much better relief in a matter of hours. Also, when you go to the doctor(Gynecologist) he/she are very gentle and know that your nervous. They do look inside your v****a, but only to make sure you don't have any serious infections. Now, every woman knows its not the most comfortable feeling, but it sure beats going through worse procedures if something is wrong. If you have any more questions feel free to ask me at anytime. Other than that sweetie don't be afraid to go to your mother she knows best. She has probably had many in her life time.

  2. I agree it's always best to be seen by a doctor, they can't tell your parents that you have been.. If you don't want to go to the doctors, then applying natural live yoghurt to the affected area helps to soothe it, also eating the yoghurt too, having a bath with pure tea tree oil helps too.....

  3. ok it probably is a yeast infection but i'm not a doctor.  this is what you do

    1. get some money

    2. go to the the drug store

    3. buy a monistat 3 kit make sure it's 3!!!

    4. it'll show you directions

but its a 3 night process it's sucks *** the first time the stuff really ITCHES!!! but you'll get through it.

YOu have to take care of this or it'll just get worse!!

and yes the doctor shuves a little rob up your coochie but it's fine just take care of this IMMEDIATLY just tell your mom i'm sure she'll understand!! yeast infects are caused by, stress, not eating right, using a perfumed shaving cream, or just having something nasty up your p***y.

  4. It sounds like it could be a yeast infection but if you have a strong odor that could be of concern.  Yeast infections don't have a strong odor.  If you have a fishy odor it could be a bacterial infection too.  If it is bacteria related you can't treat that with over the counter stuff.  You need to see your doctor to get antibiotics.

The doctor may do a vaginal culture or just diagnose by looking at it.  If you have a bacterial infection the over the counter yeast treatments could make things much worse.  Your best bet is to see a doctor and get a professional opinion.

  5. go to ur local store and buy azo and if it doesnt work after a week go see a doc

  6. oh god. i know EXACTLY what your going through.

you can buy monistat 3 from any store really.

but when i used it i had to use nyquil to put myself to sleep because it itches EXTREMELY bad. so ive been looking for something other then that to cure it, but i havent been very successful. I say you just tell you mom whats going on & YES i know itll be hard, but trust me, its SO much better then hiding it. she'll know what to do. Good luck :D

  7. hey sweety i know what your going through. ive had a yeast infection, and to tell you the truth its not that bad! you can get a yeast infection from a number of things! i got mine from being in dirty water and leaving my swim suit on too long! but she may be right about the bacterial bc yeast infections smell like yeast not fishy. but all you have to do is go to the store and go down to the tampon section where youll find a ton of pregnancy tests and condoms.. if you look youll find a box that says vagisil screaning kit. do that first before you try any medicines! it will let you know right then and thier what your problem is! ok let me know how it goes! =]

  8. A yeast infection will cause severe itching and burning. It sounds to me like you just shaved and you are itching from that. The discharge sounds normal. If you still think that it is a yeast infection there are plenty of over-the-counter items that you can buy. Just look in the area near the tampons. Yogurt is also a great way to help with yeast infections. Yogurt is especially good for preventing them. Good luck!

  9. Plain natural yoghurt. Put that on the infected part of your v****a if you're too embarrassed to go to the chemist. You don't have to go to the doctor, but if you go to the chemist and tell them you have thrush, they'll give you cream it takes around a day to get rid of it.
