its red and very very itchy... and every once in a while, it gets really warm. I am almost positive i have a yeast infection because the only change i had was a change in our usual detergent and if it was an allergic reaction, i would be itchy all over (I also used a body wash, and it might be the cause)

how do I tell my mom!?!

does this sound like a yeast infection? it can't be a std i am only 15 and not active yet

  1. This maybe a yeast infection, but it also maybe an allergic reaction to something. You say it is red, sore and itchy, and it gets warm. You might be scratching at it and this will not help you any.

Every body has yeast with in it, natural, you need to just tell your mom- No biggie, she will take you to the doctor and you will get something for it and it will go away, but make sure that if you take an antibiotic you let the doctor know that you will need something to take care of the yeast infection which you might get from the antibiotic. Good Luck to you.

  2. it could de an allergic reaction and you might be sensitive down there   stop using in for a few days and see what happens .if there is no change than tell your mom how do u know if u have an yeast infection. and if its like what she tells u, than tell her thats what its like down there .

  3. Say, "mom, I think I have a yeast infection."  What's the big deal?

  4. It does sound like a Yeast Infection.  Just tell your mom that you are having some problems, and you think it may be a Yeast Infection.  Ask her to help you with getting something OTC or getting to the dr. I don't think your mom would think that you were sexually active, because Yeast Infection's are pretty common and you can get them even if you aren't sexually active.  Don't be embarassed to ask your mom, because it's a normal thing and she has probably gone through it too.  And if you go to a dr, if you feel uncomfortable, you can ask your mom to be there in the room with you.

I wouldn't wait too long to talk to your mom, because otherwise it won't get any better, and you don't want it to get worse.

    Good luck!

  5. What is a vaginal yeast infection?

A vaginal yeast infection is irritation of the v****a and the area around the v****a, called the v***a. It is caused by an overgrowth of the fungus or yeast Candida. Yeast normally live in the v****a in small numbers, but when the bacteria in the v****a become out of balance, too many yeast grow and cause an infection.

Vaginal yeast infections are very common. About 75 percent of women have a yeast infection during their lives. And almost half of women have two or more yeast infections.

What are the signs of a vaginal yeast infection?

The most common symptom of a yeast infection is extreme itchiness in and around the v****a. Other symptoms include:

        * Burning, redness, and swelling of the v****a and the area around it

        * Pain when urinating

        * A thick, white vaginal discharge that looks like cottage cheese and does not have a bad smell

You may only have a few of these symptoms and they may be mild or severe.

Should I call my doctor if I think I have a yeast infection?

Yes, you need to see your doctor to know for sure if you have a yeast infection, especially if you've never had one before. The signs of a yeast infection are similar to those of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) like chlamydia and gonorrhea. So, it's hard to be sure you have a yeast infection and not something more serious.

If you've had vaginal yeast infections in the past, talk to your doctor about using over-the-counter medicines.

How is a vaginal yeast infection diagnosed?

Your doctor will do a pelvic exam to look for swelling and discharge. She may also use a swab to take a sample from the v****a. A quick look under the microscope or a lab test will show if yeast is causing the problem.

Go to the website below it really helped me when i had one now I'm 16 and don't get them anymore.

  6. Just tell her.  Everybody has yeast on there body and if you have a yeast infection it just means that your yeast is out of contol.  It is no biggie.

  7. Tell her- you can get yeast infections from other ways than having s*x.

  8. say " mom, I have a yest infection. "

  9. If you are not sexually active, then what are you so worried about? Tell her, so she can take you to the doctor, and get it cleared up. No big deal. It happens...

  10. Just tell her.
