  1. unfortunately,if youve no warranty, you,ve bought as seen.the only comeback is if its something criminal ie-if its been clocked.

  2. If you singed for it and the form said 'sold as seen' you have no chance.

  3. it depends how you bought it, if its from a dealer then you should first tell them you are unhappy with the car and why.

if its privatly then your more limited, it might be worth ringing your trading standards ppl or citizans advice.

  4. Very much depends if you bought it new or second hand. Depends also whether you bought from a dealer or privately.

If we know that we can advise you better.

  5. If you bought it from a main dealer then you do have some rights & you can report it to trading standards. You may have similar rights if you bought it from an independent dealer too (though not all especially if it's a traded in model). If you bought it from a private seller then there isn't all that much you can do as you would have bought the car as seen. You should've taken someone who knows about cars with you & performed a HPI check (I think that's what it's called) to check into the cars history. Unfortunately that is just the way it is.

  6. In UK look at Consumer direct. http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk

They link to your local Trading Standards service.

  7. depends did you buy it has is or is it under a warranty.... is most case you buy new your covered if you buy used you pay for what you get

  8. Well if you willingly paid for it its too late

  9. scuz is right, it depends if it was from a dealer or a private sale. if it was brand new and from a dealer then you are covered by the warranty, if its second hand and from a dealer and they have sold it as being road worthy and its not then again you have rights,

if it was form a private seller then you have no come back whatsoever as it would have been sold on a "sold as seen" basis and so i you have paid for it and it has since developed faults or you have found one then im afraid its now your problem!

  10. no one. you should have done your homework first.

  11. If you are in Britain contact Citizens Advice Bureau, they will put you in contact with someone from trading Standards, this is only if you bought it from the garage and it wasnt road worthy, or something major has happened within warranty. If it is within warranty and they are refusing to do anything about it, quote the Sales of Good Act, and the trade descriptions act, these will clearly state that they must carry out any essential maintanence within a defined period.

if it was a second hand car, cash sale these are more or less sold as seen and you have nothing to go back on. Sorry
