I think i messed up on my w4 at target i am a minor and i claimed myself as dependent by mistake .?

will there be any problems since im a minor and live with my mom. will i need re do it to fix it or will anyone catch it and fix it or whatever?

If you aren't going to make at least $5450 this year, it doesn't matter, you won't owe tax anyway, at least for federal.  Otherwise, redo it, now, and claim zero allowances.  Otherwise when you get to the end of the year, you could end up owing taxes

You can just leave it & it will be fine.  When I was in your shoes, I always claimed Exempt (but then my mom covered my tax at the end of the year if there was any).

no big deal.

you may not even have to file depending on how much you make.

but if you do wind up oweing its still not that big a deal because you just pay them at tax time.
