well all my life ive been on the computer and i think its starting to affect my vision- it is starting to become a little blurry and i cant really read things far away. when i try on my brothers glasses, it makes things that are kinda far away WAY more clearer but when i put something up close with them on, i cant read it. i dont know what to do cuz i really dont want to wear glasses cuz i play basketball for my school. also i am about to take drivers ed and i am gunna have trouble on the vision test well maybe.

any answers would be very helpful thanks !!

  1. staring at something like a computure or a tv wont mess up your vision. Its probably because you have people in your family that need glasses. Its genes i think.

  2. You could wear contacts!!!!!  They are super comfortable and once you get the hang of them they are no trouble to put in and take out.  You could also just wear your glasses when you need them.  You dont have to wear them all of the time.  When you are in drivers ed put them on.  When reading the board put them on.  Just carry them with you and you will be fine.

P.S. I HATE wearing my glasses too!!!!!!!

  3. Get contacts, and your own prescription.  If your brother has glasses, I'm guessing your parents can get you contacts.  At least one pair for sports.

  4. sounds like your getting near sighted (where you can see up close but not far away) if  you dont prefer glasses contacts aren't bad and you can get them in different colors

  5. Yes,I tihnk you do,the reason you cant read close with them on is because you CAN see things close up.

    So you're nearsighted.

I suggest contacts for you basketball and sight test.

  6. It means you're near sighted-- you're going to need glasses to read things that are far away. You just need to visit an eye doctor.

If you can see fine when playing basketball- then glasses are probably the best option, they're a lot quicker to take off and put on than contacts. If you get contacts you'll probably need some time to adjust to sticking your finger in your eye.

  7. Get your eyes tested by a qualified optometrist, then ask for their advice (which they will be more than happy to give). There are alternatives to standard glasses such as contact lenses, and glasses designed to be worn while participating in active sports.

  8. Go to see an ophthalmologist or optometrist, have your eye vision examed. It won't cost you much, $40-50 for a vision exam.

  9. I would definitely get your eyes professionally checked.  I was having the same problem with far off things and now I don't know how I ever made it without glasses.  You probably won't even need a very strong prescription.
