I think i might of took to many pain killers?

i just got my braces on today and they hurt so f-ing bad.

so i took like 2 advil then nothing happened so i took a couple more and then that didnt help so my dad made me take this thing idk what its called, but he said it would help and make me sleepy. now i cant stop shaking my hands, so i can like barley write this. lol and i feel faint when i stand up. does anyone know what could be wrong?

You probably did overdose on pain killers.

Yes, braces stink. Yes, painkillers don't really help when you first get braces on (I know).

Only take the recommended dose of any medication, and never take more. Taking a couple more pills of Advil was your first mistake. Your second was taking another pain killer after that. If the overdose of Advil did not cause you feeling this way, then the other medicine did (either alone or in combination with the Advil.)

It is possible this is a side effect of either the overdose of Advil, the painkiller your dad gave you, or a reaction to the combined medicines in both pain killers.

I suggest you don't take any more pain killers, and go to the doctor (or even emergency room) as soon as possible.

As far as braces goes for a couple days you may want to drink Slim-Fast for meals and eat soft foods. Don't take too much medicine again though.

You have to be more specific on what your dad gave you. Perhaps Tylenol with codeine - a narcotic based pain killer. Even though he might of given you a small dose you could feel sleepy.

Why don't you ask your dad and find out what it was.

The pain you feel from the braces will go away in the next couple of days.

sorry to tell you this, but you over dosed.. try to drink water and relax for a whole day.. i got my braces 4 days ago , so i feel your pain.. just try to ignore it,.. watch a movie becuase them you get distracted. also for sleeping try to sleeep with your mouth facing the ceiling.. hopes this helps :D

The 4 advil would not be to bad as long as you don't do any more within 8 hours but did your dad know you took them before he gave you something else? and you didn't say what it was?? They have medicine to put on  a sore mouth from braces have your dad get you some at the drug store. and try to get some sleep.
