  1. It's a great option for a beginner, as is it's big brother the 500 ninja. Stay off the 600's till you get experience and a training course. Don't let the posers out there push you around or feed you a bunch of S**t, I ride a ZX-10 and can still have fun on the little ninjas. Buy what you like.

  2. I don't know anything about street bikes but I want the two points

  3. Excellent choice, but good luck finding one. If you do, grab it while you can.

  4. it's a good starter bike, from what i've heard not much to worry about as far as them breaking or anything.  My first bike was a suzuki gs500, as compared to the 250 ninja a little more power but not liquid cooled.  In my opinion, you might be better off with a 500 ninja, similar bike with a little more power.  I rode dirt bikes before street bikes so I was familiar with a bike, so after the first 5 minutes I was already bored of the gs500's acceleration.  So if it is your very first bike, the 250 is a good choice, but you will get bored of it pretty quick.  If you have a little experience under your belt, shoot for something a little larger, like the gs500 or ninja 500, but I'd definitely say wait on the 600, 750, and 1000cc crotch rockets till you get some experience

  5. Sorry, but you must have clicked the wrong section, as this is the motorcycle RACING questions.

The best advice I can give you is you to post this question again.

You would get a better response in....

    "Cars & Transportation"> "Motorcycles"

  6. That's exactly what I got for my first bike 2 months ago...I don't regret it at all, actually highly recommend starting smaller. The Ninja250 is a lot more forgiving than an insane 600+ rocket for new riders.

That said, I just traded my 250 in for Kawasaki's ZX6R.

I got bored of the lil Ninja's power pretty quick, however, I'm also a d**n good rider. ; )

Honestly, do what makes you feel comfortable. I don't know about you, but dropping a 10,000 rocket doesn't make me comfortable. Go with the smaller one and trade up as you get better.

  7. Ninja 250's are kinda ugly and extremely small. If I were you I would enroll into a 4 day cycle course to hop on those really fun little rebel 250's and just buy something that you're going to be happy with. But if thats what you want, go for it. I would suggest a 600. But be careful, rockets have alot of *** compared to others. I have a slightly modified GSXR600 that  tore up a Dyna 1450 and a brightly colored Lamborghini.

  8. You should start out with a dual purpose bike first.
