at the very beginning of the summer... i made the mistake of letting my son get on my next door neighbors trampoline with another boy...this was the 1st time my son had ever been on a trampoline (and DEFINITELY the LAST time!!!) anyway, after the first 2 min my son ended up hitting his two front teeth on the little boys head...the little boy was fine, but my sons gums were bleeding really bad. I took him to the ER and they said that they might strengthen back up, but they werent totally sure. they also said there wasnt much i could do. note: they NEVER told me to go get an x-ray. For the last couple of months the tooth hasnt been super strong, but it hasnt been really loose either. just a little wiggly. this leads us up to last nite... i havent let my son bite into anything hard like pears or apples or anything but he snuck one last nite..and after taking a pretty hard bite, the tooth is REALLY loose this morning. i talked to several dentists already this morning and one of them talked about putting in a stint? has anyone ever heard of this? i really really dont want him loosing any of his teeth so early on! anyone have any suggestions or annnything for me? do you think it may strengthen back up if he doesnt play with it? it's to the point if i push it back even just a little, i can see the very very very top of the tooth. but the very back of the tooth is still hanging on to the gums.... anyone? anyone? lol you guys are always the best! thanks in advance!

  1. I would have brought him to the dentist er doctors aren't dentist a dentist could have helped you better but it is just a baby tooth so there still maybe nothing even a dentist can do because it was going to fall out eventually my younger cousin had to have his two front teeth pulled when he was 4 and they didn't start growing back until he was 6. get a dentists advice.

  2. This happened to my son, he was getting down from the dinner table and hit his mouth on the edge. OMG that was aweful it was black it was so bad and the dentist said it was okay but a month later his tooth was absessed and had to be pulled. It was so weak the decay got to it a lot easier and I brush my kid's teeth myself. They told me it was bottle rot, but I know better. I think they should have capped it. If it's hanging off, it's as good as gone so I'd try the stint. Not sure what it is, but my son is 6 and still missing that tooth. Get him in quick though so it doesn't fall off anymore.

  3. ahh the memories! I was 5 when I knocked out my front teeth after falling off a sliding board. Actually i just knocked them loose, the dentist had to pull them. And it really wasn't a big deal losing them. Though it did take a while for the new ones to come in, I was fine! i wish you the best!!
