Should I count them right in front of him ? This sounds serious! I should be getting 30 but only get 25 .

  1. Ambien is a controlled substance.  At Walgreens it must be counted at least twice by hand before it can be sent out.  You could contact your pharmacist and let them know, but chances are they are just going to tell you there is nothing they can do about it since it is a controlled substance.

Next time you go in (before you leave the pharmacy), ask to speak with the pharmacist.  Explain the problem and ask them if they could count them in front of you.

If you leave with the store with the medication, once you have left there is nothing that the pharmacist can do about it after that.  The pharmacist doesn't have any control of what happens to the medicine and doesn't know what you do with it after that.  For all that pharmicist knows, you could have walked out the door and sold 5 tablets to someone else.

So your best bet would be to talk to the pharmacist about it the next time you go in to pick it up.

  2. Ask him why you aren't getting 30. If he says you are you can count them in front of him, if you can handle being embarrased if you're wrong. Maybe there's a reasonable explanation?
