  1. Try a little bit of mylicon drops.I thought that they were just for gas(that is what the label says) but I gave my daughter some (she was the same age) and out came the p**p!It must also stimulate the bowels?Also...she really might have gas.

  2. If she's in pain either give her a glycerine suppository or put a thin sliver of soap up her bum (lubricate it first) - either of those should help her do a dooey in a few minutes.

  3. yes, now is a good time to bring her in i a baby hasnt pooed in 48 hours you should have her in. dont let her wait if she isnt better by morning she needs to be seen. i am sure she will be fine but you need to get her seen....ps, do NOT dilute her bottle with water, ever, it wont work anyways, ask your DR they will say the same thing

  4. move her legs like riding a bike

  5. You will know if they are costipated if their 'poo' is all like pebbles like all little balls type thing & if they are pushing hard, constipation from babies is caused by giving them unhealthy drinks like soft drinks fizzy drinks & also junk food & chocolate & lollies.

  6. Add a little bit of water to her bottle; whether it's milk or formula, add about 2 oz. of water to each bottle until she has a bowel movement.

  7. well my mom just had a baby too.

    and babies easily get constipated.

    so no worrys :)

  8. Change the bottle formula, it clearly doesn't agree with her. Even best, stop using bottles if you can generate enough milk. You can save your milk for later if you have enough. My own little grandson went through intestinal problems and ended up loosing a kidney and many meters of bowels. Be careful and wary of easy doctor's dismissals.

  9. My doctor told me to add a 1/4 tsp of karo syrup to his bottle and it worked every time.

  10. It is ok to give baby Karo Syrup (comes in dark purple wrapping).  Its syrup for baking not pancakes.  Try about 1-2 tablespoons in about 4 oz of formula/breast milk.  I gave it to my son at a month old.  It won't hurt him/her.  Also sometimes what you are eating can cause your breast milk to make baby constipated.  So if you eat a lot of something in particular try eating less of that and see if baby feels better.  And remember babies get constipated sometimes so try not to stress and beat yourself up over it.  Good luck.

  11. Go to another doctor!!!!  Your baby should not be in pain.  Don't try the tips everyone is giving you.  If your baby was older that would be different but at only a month old it's not a good idea.

  12. My baby's pediatrician said that whenever she doesn't go on the second day, to put some vaseline on a rectal thermometer and stick it up her bottom. It will help them go..and if that doesn't work to go get some of those glycerin suppositories, they say for ages 2-6 but you can cut them in half and they work for little babies.

By the way, my baby is breastfed too, and they can get a little constipated.

  13. yell

    "p**p p**p p**p"

    or scare it a little

    then she mite pool

and congrats on ur baby :-)

  14. This is a totally normal thing. pear juice may not be the best try to find gerber baby juice. try a flavor like pruns or grape. if you cant find either of those get apple. Pleae make sure its baby juice. Up to two onces is fine and you dont have to mix it with milk more than likey you baby will love the taste. Mine does. no need to freak out and go to the doctor over constipation. If the continues for more than 3 days take him into the doctor. Otherwise he'll be fine.

  15. a tiny bit of olive oil and rub around her bum hole (it sounds really bad)  also rub her tummy in a ? shape round the top of the tummy to her belly button and down to the top of her pubic bone quiet firmly.  and also the riding bike legs helps again also some tummy time lying her supervised on her tummy will help.

  16. Not sure about the age to take it but my daughter was also constipated (at like 3 mths or so) and i gave her miralax. It's a powder that u can put into juice, milk, whatever. I think it is ok to use on newborn's. My daughter did great with it. It didn't make her crampy or anything. It does hurt to see your child like that. My daughter actually had impacted bowels twice!! Boy, that was heartbreaking i tell you!! This all happened when i switched her to whole milk. (the impacted bowels) good luck to you a baby girl
