I believe that my boyfriend has tourettes syndrome. I seem to be the only one who notices since I am the one who spends the most time with him. I've asked him about the things he does, but he just shrugs it off like it's nothing. The first thing I noticed was everytime we try to watch a movie or do anything that invloves being still and quiet, he can't sit still and he is always making noises like he's coughing or clearinig his throat. Also, when he's driving he moves his arms a lot, like twitching and can't seem to sit still. I read about TS in wikipedia, and I'm sure that's what it is. I'd say it's a mild case, but I was curious to know if Toutettes Syndrome is hereditary? I try not to be insensitive about it, but it drives me nuts. How can I talk to him about it without offending him?

  1. wow we're dating the same guy. I dont know how to talk to him about it without embarrassing him. My fiance and I have a really good relationship where we can talk to eachother about anything. What I learned when we first talked about was he already thought the same thing and his biggest problem was that he was embarrassed to talk about it.

Oh, I did a bunch of research on it and all the research says its hereditary but they cant find the gene. Its most often passed on to boys.
