I think my cable cord isn't working, but I'm not sure.?

I just moved on campus, and I completely forgot to bring a cable cord. I went to the bookstore here and bought one, but when I screwed it in, the cable still doesn't work. I tried Auto Ch Programming, but only two channels ending up coming in, but they were still super blurry and fuzzy.

Is it just the cable cord? My tv and vcr worked fine at home. Or is it something else?

It could be that you have no cable feed or that you did not connect the cable properly.

Make sure the center thin-cable in either side of the cable is not bended and inserted correctly in both the wall and the TV.
