i dont know if he is mental or hyper. but he sometimes gallops into the room sideways its hilarious to watch but i dont know why he does it. so if i am sitting on a chair he will sit on the chair opposite me and crouch down by the arm so he thinks i cant see him and starts wiggling his bum!!

  1. I don't think your cat is mental, I think he is being a normal cat. Our fella is just the same and yes you're right it is hilarious.

  2. Too cute. Sounds like you have a fun little kitty. Enjoy him, sounds like he wants you to play with him.

  3. LOL cats just do that sometimes, no one knows why. We used to call it his "mad half hour" whenever my cat went mental

  4. i think he is just playful.. remember cats a unique!

I know exactly what you're talking about.  Harry-cat has been doing that as well.  Does your cat sometimes leap up in the air after he does his sideways run?  He also does the Crouch and hide motif on the comfy chair.  I think both of these are basically hunting behavior practices.  Harry will also try to walk underneath our dog Lucys head and stand up on his hindlegs so that he can nibble on her lips.

  6. No, he sounds normal my cat is worse than that.

  7. keep him of the alcohol and sugar!!!!!! than this might help nah i don't no go on youtube you see other cats who do it

  8. I think he's just playing. Cats are rubbish at hiding themselves. They think that if they can't see you, you can't see them. A cat I used to have thought he couldn't be seen if he stuck just his head under the sofa hehehe:-D Then if you touched him he was really surprised as he thought he's hidden himself really well hehehe:-D He'd also perch on a stair when he knew someone was coming down and jump at their ankles or knees after doing the wiggling bum thing:-)

It's a sign that your cat is happy, likes your company and is playful.

  9. nah he's just being playful and wild... cats only do that when they're feeling good so it's a great sign.

  10. dude thats perfectly normal my cats do that well only one one past away on june 15 2008 R.I.P

  11. Haha my cats are EXACTLY the same, even in their old ages! It's just his playful side. When he crouches down and starts wiggling his backside I'll bet he then legs it or pounces on something? It's totally normal! Don't worry about it :)
