I think my clothes are shrinking? Is it my dryer?

I wear a 34L and some of my 34L pants fit perfect and others are really high up now. Does the way that you wash/dry your clothes make a difference on how they come out? How do I avoid shrinkage?

Also, sometimes I take clothes out of the dryer and throw them somewhere if I dont have time and then throw them back in the dryer later to get the wrinkles out, and then hang them up. Is this bad?

    T.FW has the best answer. It has to be the hot water.


  2. Carl makes a good point but you might need cooler water, fabric  softener  also read the label on your clothes for wash instructions,
