I'm a first time contact wearer. The other day wen i was cleanin my contacts i noticed i little uneveness on the edge of my contacts like the very edge had been ripped off. i though no big deal and continued wearing them. but now i've noticed that i have a slight double vision in that eye. what could i do? should i throw them out? oh and do you think there's a possibility that the little piece that tore off is still in my eye?? Any help would be wonderful. Thanx:D

  1. You should NEVER wear a damaged lens. It can cause some really bad irritations and even scratch your cornea.

Most new wearers tear a few before getting the hang of it.

Probably with your nail while cleaning it, or getting it caught with the lid of the case.

If that little piece happens to be in your eye, you will feel a slight irritation from it, but no worry , it will come out on it's own in a corner of your eye.. If you don't feel anything at all there, then it's pretty sure it isn't there.

  2. Go to your eye care provider, they will look in your eyes with their magnifier, and can tell you exactly what is going on.
