  1. This  is actually common in kids----they get so tired and sleep so deeply!.   You did not mention her age, but I'm assuming she's young.   Just make sure her bedroom is not by any staircase, as I have heard kids taking quite a tumble sleepwalking!    I, myself, as a child sleepwalked outside and fell off a porch!

Our neighbors boy, used to sleepwalk to the bathroom, only he wasn't in the bathroom, and pee in his closet! Yuck!   His mom was not a happy camper!

If it happens a lot--it doesn't hurt to mention this to a pediatrician.  As a child,  I suffered waking dreams (horrific nightmares) for I think two years.  The doctor had mentioned to my mother that this happens a lot to creative people.  I drove everyone crazy with my screams in the night.

It is not easy being a parent--best of luck to you.

  2. and....?

  3. My son did this for a while when he was around 4-5 yrs old.  It was really weird because he always had such weird looks on his face, not particularly unhappy, but just- different.  It used to kind of freak me out, and I used to try to wake him up, but that never worked, so I always just put him back to bed because he was never disagreeable when he was like that.  Anyway, he seems to have grown out of it now.

  4. Ok, lots of people sleepwalk, what's the question?

  5. i did that about 3 mos. ago im 11. it's fine. it was because i watched 'A Haunting' it scared the h**l out of me. but i new the house so well i walked down the stairs without falling. Then when i was little, i did it, and i went to the bathroom in the trash!! Then another time, i went into the fridge took out the cool whip and did weird thing with it!!! When i do it now, my parents tell me to go to the bathroom, i go and go upstair again and fall aslep.

  6. If you are looking for advice, we need more info on the subject. What is it you are seeking? Why she sleepwalks? How to keep her safe when she does? It would also help us to know her age.

  7. When we were kids, my sister was a sleepwalker.  My parents would find her in the morning sleeping on the couch or chair and she wouldn't remember getting there.  They had to start baracading the doors so she wouldn't go outside and down into the lake.  One time when we were at a hotel, we all woke to her trying to get the chain off the door to go out and go swimming in the pool.  My point is, if you think she is sleepwalking, take steps to ensure she is safe in your home when she does it.
