  1. How do you know it's a "cold"?  What symptoms is he having?

As a general rule, NEVER give your pet any medications without the advice of a veterinarian.  In order to be properly diagnosed and treated, he needs to go to a professional, not a website full of strangers.

ADD:  The symptoms you've described sound like either kennel cough or an upper respiratory infection.  In either case, he still needs to see a veterinarian for proper diagnosis and treatment.

  2. talk to your vet your dog cld have anything so its a wise precaution =]

  3. Give your dog half an asprin.Put it in his food make sure he swallows it.Repeat after four hours.

  4. I don't think dogs get colds like humans and you cant give them human medicine. If it gets any worse you will have to consult a vet.

  5. if it was just a cold i would say dont worry about it so long as he is still drinking (3/4 days tops). but as there is blood coming from the nose better be safe than sorry, time for the vets if you are in the uk and cant afford the vets look up the P.D.S.A they will be happy to help you out, you can always drop them a donation when times are better
