I think my eight year old sister smokes...?

I live in a family of 5. My dad, my mom, my sister, my brother, and I. Yesterday, I went by my sister's room, (2 of her friends were there,) and I smelled smoke, so I barged in. When I came in, they moved around a little, (They were on the bed watching TV) and I asked them if they smelled smoke, and they said no. That was a week ago. Today, I was digging through the laundry to fold clothes, and a package of

Marlbaro 100's were in the basket. My family is a well respected family, and is very healthy. I would never think my sister would do this..until I found a cigarette bud on our lawn. None of my family smokes, and I am sure it is not my brother, because he is 2. What should I do? I smelled smoke on my sister's clothes also. I know if I tell on her, she will hate me forever, because she rarely gets in trouble and hates when she does.

just get her in trouble. even if you don't want to do it because it is for her own saftey

Talk to her. Let her know what you thinks going on. I don't know if your close or not, but she may open up to you. Or help her out. One day she'll deffinatly thank you for it. Good luck, and hope this helps.

Okay - what is your question?

Leave your sister alone about her smoking. Lots of girls her age smoke. Even if they come from respected families!

Also, it is not nice to "barge in". Knock first, and ask if you can come in.

You need to tell on her. She's eight years old, this behavior would be troubling in a 12 year old, but it is extremely scary in children so young. It is obvious that she should be supervised more closely and not allowed to hang out  with her current friends. Your parents really need to know about this. It is illegal to give cigarettes to minors so someone is either breaking the law or these eight year olds are stealing. Please tell, she may be mad, but you could be saving her from a lot of issues later on.

don't tell your parents.she cried this means stopping her is very easy

talk to her about the effects of smoking and tell her kindly that it can really harm her health

I say you sould go tell somebody what is happening with your sister because she could get lung cancer or even die from smoking.so get up and tell somebody dont stay quite.

i suggest you talk to her and try to convince her not to smoke

but if she doesn't listen its better to tell your mom and she'll know how to handle it.
