  1. A family tree website might help you out more

  2. There are about 140 million people living in Russia, plus many more emigrants living in the United States and elswhere. The chances of you being royalty are relatively slim. There are probably millions of people who "look like an old russian family". Still worth investigating, you never know...

  3. the main royal family of russia was killed back in 1918 there are still cousins etc that have some say over the estates and such and are considered to be part of the royal fam. however they are not royalty in the sense of ruling. you may or may not be related to them but chances are if you are it will be very distant and you wont really qualify for anything special other than some bragging rights.

  4. Your family may be descended from royalty. If your family were royal, you would know about it already. The only way to find out for sure is to have your family tree researched by a professional genealogist.

http://www.ancestry.com has this service but there is a fee.Any professional genealogist would be able to do the job.Burke's Peerage and Debrett's are two other services that come to mind.

And a  note to the other posters: there are more royal families in Russia than the late Czar Nicholas' family. Russian nobility still exist. The reknowned fashion designer,Oleg Cassini comes to mind. These people were called "White Russians." Many Russian nobles left Russia but still exist.

  5. If you were then you would know about it and not have to think about it

  6. Well they killed most if not all the Russian Royalty so be grateful you are even with us.

  7. Its funny but all Americans on this say they are related to some foreign royal families one way or another.

So how they end up in the US oops poor European refugees lol

  8. The Russian royal family was killed by the Bolsheviks in 1918. Up until recently, there was some hope that Princess Anastasia had survived, but her body was recently discovered along with that of her brother Prince Alexei. DNA analysis has confirmed that these are indeed the remains of the royals. Those relatives of the Romanov family who escaped the Soviet blight and have claim to the Russian throne are listed here:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Line_of_suc...

Unless your name is on this list, you're not in line for the Russian throne.  But look on the bright side, your lack of royal blood means you're probably never going to be important enough for someone to throw a bomb at you :P

  9. Why would you want to be connected to that lot?

  10. lol

    Dork :]

Who knows i'll search with you!!!

But guess what my family is?!?!

    Drunks.
