I think my fish drown?

last night my fish died he was fine last morning what do you think happened to him?

We need more info. What species of fish, what size tank, what other tank mates are there?? Answer that and I can answer the question!

Edit:Yes, some fish can drown. Some fish like bettas and gouramis have a gland on there head that allows them to breath from the surface so they can survive in low oxygen water. These fish would die if not exposed to air at the top of there tank. So depending on the species of fihs, YES it could have drowned.

It most likely had something wrong with it or your water is so badk that it couldn't survive.  Fish don't drown.

Many things could have happened.

What kind of fish was it? Do you have a filter? Do you do water changes? Do you have a big enough tank? Did it have a disease?
