  1. If antibacterials haven't worked, and you said it looks fungusy, I would recommend treating with a fungicide (common sense?).  Fungus is a fairly common secondary infection that will invade open wounds, either from other fish, decor, or primary infections.  A malachite green + formalin (Quick Cure, Rid Ich), or copper (Coppersafe, Aquarisol, Cupramine, Organicure) based medication would work well.  Remove any activated carbon from the filter when treating with medications (unless it is JUST copper), and if using malachite green, keep the tank dark, as it degrades with exposure to light.


  2. Sounds like gin rot. You can buy medication for it at the pet store. Meds that say they treat fin rot.

  3. I suggest adding cycle every day to the tank for a week, this usually helps with the fungus!
