  1. yes actually it is maybe she was never bred or over bred or she is to yung or to old to be bred i breed guppies but the female just as well could have ate them...

  2. You could only tell the difference if they are black mollies because the babies will be black.  The best thing to do is just leave them alone.  A well planted tank is they key.  As you discovered the fry will hide in plants and rocks.

  3. well I know the problem the rest were eaten!?It is true that all fish parents and tank mates will eat any fry that comes into sight and since they fry were most likely black it was hard for most to hide

  4. Hahaha I had to ask myself the same question.

It is kind of hard to tell. Check the gender of the fish. Get a head count of the genders and possible mothers. Female have a Triangular Anal Fin and males have an elongated one.(Figures right?)

With my luck my Dalmatian Molly was the mother.

You need to keep the babies in a breeder net in the tank. So I'd recommend it ASAP. You won't be able to really tell the difference yet but once they're older you will. Ironically I only had five survivors too. 4 died =[ Good Luck!!

And no, she won't have more sadly

  5. Some of the fry might have been eaten. Molly fry are also much larger than guppy fry if they are the same age.

  6. yes u can tell the difference as mollie babies are more rounded in shape than guppies /guppies are thinner in shape as for 5 survivers  this is because as the mum gave birth she ate them mollies can give birth and most of her babies will survive as mollies dont always eat their babies straight after birth but guppies do as soon as they give birth they can eat them unless they escape very quickly
