I think my hamster broke its leg,and i cant get it to the vet...?

i think my hamster broke its leg last night,i got school in an hour and have no way to get him there.we cant afford to take him to the vet.if we did how much would it cost?i never been in the situation.he pulls his leg up and walks.he never pulls it down.i dunno what to do?

  1. Take out all the tubes, levels, wheel, swings, tunnels ect so he can rest. Feed him small pieces of break soaked in milk and plenty of water. Put in lots of bedding, and let him rest. Don't hadle him for a week or two, and don't put him in a any toys or wheels or balls.


  2. Before you pull strings to get to a vet call and see if they deal with rodents.  Most vets are your basic dog, cat, and sometimes birds.

  3. Unfourtaintly for your hamster his leg is too small and it can not be set. Sorry for your little guy and for you.

  5. Sorry to hear about your hamster without sounding harsh the cost of fixing the leg would probably buy you 50 hamsters. unless you have pet insurance to cover it, if he's tame enough try and take a look it may just be that it's got a splinter in it's foot or something.
