Okay, his name is peanut, he is a male teddy bear hamster, about 2 1/2 years old, and he has a big growth on his neck, not on the back tho, like the front, by his tummy, is it as big as his head and it is REALLY scaring me! What could it be? Is it a tumor? help! :'(

What should I do? How can I help my baby?

  1. Go right now and take him to vet, and if he does have a tumor you should find out how bad it is; if it is fairly new they can remove it, but if has progressed much already then you should unfortunately get him put to the sleep at the Vets office with Euthanasia, sorry but this is the only way unless you want him to endure massive suffering through long surgeries, and end up with a huge vet bill. Sorry if you think I'm being pessimistic but it's the unfortunate truth if you want him to go out without pain, and these kinds of things are normal if you consider his age too, my hamster died of old age at the age of one year, you should just be grateful he lived as long as he did.

  2. You should definitely go to the vet asap! It could be a tumor but no one is sure until you go to the vet! Your hamster is pretty old and tumors are common in older hamsters... I hope your hammy gets better!

  3. if you wana pay an expesive vet bill, go get it removed

  4. Take him to the vet.

It could be a tumor, but it could also be an abscess. The vet will tell you for sure and show you how to proceed. You can't treat this yourself, he needs vet care.

  5. Go to a vet asap.  Your hamster could have cancer.
