I think my ipod is possessed...help!!?

Question

I have had the same songs on my ipod nano forever. For some reason now when i play my ipod in my car, some songs are missing lyrics. Its the saem song but there are pauses in the middle of the song...like at a kareoke bar how the music is the same but all you hear is the backround chorus...and on two songs the lyrics are completly gone from the song and all you hear are the instrumentals.... HELP!!

Sounds like you have a problem with the connection. You can sometimes get this effect if you only half insert the line out (what goes to the speakers/headphones). It could be to do with balance - if the I-pod decides to cut out the middle and only play the extreme left and right (because of an error) then that can cut out the vocals, as they're often panned to the middle.

I think its your speakers or some hardware that powers them.

Listen to the songs on headphones to make sure.  If they sound alright, then your speakers are the problem.

its very simple.  it needs cleaning on either on the ipod jack or the cord going into the car.   if it plays perfectly through the song in the headphone its the cord in the car that needs cleaning.  if not then it's the ipod that needs either cleaning in the jack or to be restored via itunes.  it's happened to me and it was the cord nothing else.  so i got a new more expensive cord.  and now it works perfectly

How old is your Ipod? Old ipods have a tendancy to break over time.

it may not be your ipod, it could be the car sterio or speakers! check them out! if it is your ipod, then, let the battery go dead, plug it into your pc, let it sync, charge then take it of it the problem is stil there, get it looked at by a professional.

i really hope its not broke because i too love my nano!!!
