  1. so you got a kitten with no savings or insurance to cover vets fees? well done! nobody on here can diagnose your pet so you know what the answer is...

  2. If you cannot afford to take care of a pet. then should wait til you can.

  3. is the kitten throwing up fur balls??

    Petromalt Hairball Remedy

The flavored hairball remedy for cats aids in the elimination of swallowed hair and the prevention of hairballs.

  4. Did you get him from a shelter? If so, it might be Kennel Cough, and if that's the case, it's usually fatal, even with treatment. Sorry :-(

It's not always fatal though...my cat had kennel cough and almost died, so we started letting him go outside, and somehow he got better. He's lived a lot longer than we expected.

  5. It could be asthma, but it could also be a simple kitten cold. A lot of kittens get them. It could also be allergies to something in your home or local area.

Most areas have local low-cost and even free clinics available on specific days. Your best bet to find one is to call your local humane society and ask them. They tend to run them and know where/when they are. Some, depending on their funding, also have emergency resources available for you

  6. "If I don't take him to the vet(I can't until I can afford it) Will it be life threatening?"

The answer is YES. If your cat has asthma and you don't treat it, it is life threatening. I know this, because we almost lost our kitty to asthma.

Asthma inhibit's breathing, and with out breathing there is no life. I'm sure you can put two and two together there.

Our cat is fine now and on inhaled meds. I won't lie to you though, her treatments are not cheap. BUT... she would be dead with out them so she's worth it. We make sacrifices so she can have her meds.

This is the best website out there about feline asthma. Start by reading there.

Also, go to youtube and search and you will see lots of videos of asthma cats, and cats being treated for asthma with inhalers using the aerokat and flovent.

  7. He needs to see a vet.  In my area there is an organization called "animal defenders" who give low cost vet care.  See if there is a similar organization in your area.

If there is a problem, it will only get worse if it's not taken care of.

  8. He might just have a fur ball caught in his throat. Are there any animal shelters near you like an SPCA? They might be able to treat him for free.
